Default Arrow damage with foam block

Another couple noob questions ... I'm shooting my Horton Explorer 150 into a 14" deep Black Hole brand layered foam target. At 10 and 20 yards the arrows are going all the way past the front so I have to pull them out the back. This is quickly damaging my fletchings. So far all I have used are 100 grain field points. I can't even see where the arrow strikes until I walk down to the target because the arrow goes so far in.

Should it stop them so they still stick out the front and you pull them back out the front?

Do broadheads or fieldpoints penetrate more? I've only shot fieldpoints at it.

Is this target made for crossbows too? It didn't say anywhere or list a maximum speed/range/whatever so I can't tell if maybe I am exceeding what it was designed for...

Your targets too small!

I use an 18" "the Block", foam target with no problems...well, except for when I shoot the Stryker! But the 18" thick still grabs them before the fletchings hit the foam.
My lightest bow is the reCon at just under 300fps with heavy arrows...so most of my bows are 325fps to 355fps, stops'em...no problems.

You also gotta remember, any target will wear out.

Black hole foam is definitely too thin to catch 300 fps arrows from X bow. Just ordered Morrell bags advertised just for X bow field points. Their 12" worked great but that way a year ago and before the 350 fps Cyclone.

This is a new Black Hole block - not worn out at all! Maybe 20 hits.
