to be fair too excal and the phoenix model, this damage was not done using a dacron string, used FFF string. i did this, need to put my 3 step program back into use. ck for arrow before pushing safety off and pulling trigger![&o]

i recommend either of these 2 CB's to anyone wanting very accurate solid performing recurve models.

Didn't figure anyone wanted to hear about a homemade or a 10 year old Barnett Wildcat, and I can't say anything about the Vixen that isn't already common knowledge.[8D] But, if you insist on hearing about a brand other than Excal, I will say the Wildcat is still shooting just like it did the day it came out of the box - accurate but s-l-o-w.

Yeah, but which one is the best 'Kryket? My sister's neighbors aunt's brother in law wants one and he don't want to go over $200 or so. LOLOLOL.

My best serious advice is to try them out for fit if you can, get a name brand, shoot the crap out of it and if you ain't happy, off the sucker and try the next one on your list.

Whatever you do, don't do what I did. I call it the two finger Cabelas shopping spree. You put one finger on highest fps and the other on lowest price and grab the old credit card and the phone, lol. This was my pre-computer days, lol.

bought my predator a few days ago and have shot it everyday 30-50 times and i am in love with this xbow...........golf ball size pattern at 40 yds and boy does the bolt get there in a hurry!!....sure beats the heck out of the d-stryker i had last year, this xbow shoots faster and smoother than the ds did when it actually shot like it was supposed to do...dontget me wrong the ds shot good when it actually shot but nothing like this predator.....i heard all kinds of bad things about the trigger on the predator but to me the trigger is pretty smooth(knock on wood).......take care guys
