Who makes the lightest crossbow, and a good one, i have a left arm thats giving me fits. Rich

Light and good you would be hard pressed to beat an Excalibur. Recurves are lighter than compounds and provided you are not in a situation where the added width of the recurve is an issue an Excal would be my recomendation. One other point that I personaly noted is that the Vortex (or any of their thumbhole versions) tend to force the heel of your palm downwards and actually pulls some of the weight off the nose. If you can, shoulder both the traditional Excal styles and the thumbhole version and see if either of them works for you...
