There are lots of good crossbows available. Everyone here has their favorite. Most prefer a crossbow from one of the Big Four manufacturers; Ten Point, Excaliber, BowTech, Parker. They all make terrific bows and their customer service and warranty are second to none.
If you cruise through all the threads here you will find all kinds of info and damn good advice. Contact one of the dealers who visit here, like Wyvern, and they will provide you a wealth of un-biased info on all the crossbows.
Decide what you are going to do with your crossbow , whether you want a recurve or a compound, how much you can spend. Ask Wyvern all the questions you might have.
The more info you have the better decision you can make!
If I was buying another XBow it would be a Excalibur, both Excalibur and TenPoint are XBows that I would consider if I were buying my first, each company has superior customer service. Just find one that fits you though...That's important also.

I have 5 Excaliburs, 2 more on order and one Ten Point. I like to think I will have the most reliable, most accurate bows with the best customer service in the world.

While many on here are strong advocates for Excalibur, and for good reason, I do strongly suggest that you look into Horton as well. Their line of bows are top notch, and they have several good intro. bows.
I recomend that you pick up each CB and shoulder it. Shoot them, this process will eliminate a bunch quickly to your likes. Comfort weight knowing it feels good all are main points. Balance and being able to work on your CB should be concidered. For me to pick one out for you is like picking out a truck for you. we may have different ideas of what we need. I own 2 CB's would like to own another dz. There are so many good ones and a few great ones out there.
