Spring gobbler season

With spring turkey season coming in soon, just wanted to know how many of you guys use your crossbow to turkey hunt and what b'heads do you prefer.
I've taken 2 with my deer setup but I'm interested in what others use.

I've shot them with a shotgun. Great fun but womewhat aniclimatcit, so this year it's going to be a x bow.
I'm going with a Slick and a Grappler behind it to prevent passthrough. Got that from this grapevine.

This probably won't be a popular answer, but I use a shotgun for spring turkey season because it is legal and offers the best odds ofquickly killing a turkey. Not saying a crossbow and archery are not ethical, and in the fall archery only portion of our season I wouldn't hestiate to hunt themwith the crossbow.
I believe we owe it to the game we hunt to strive for a quick, clean, humane kill (ethical) and should use the legal method that offers the highest percentage oddsof producing those results. A personal decision, but for me the shotgun offers the highest percentage odds of the available legal methods of harvesting a springturkey.

I take my first one with a shotgun. After that anything goes! If I use an arrow I use the Wasp Jackhammer.

I am going to try the crossbow this year, I use the same set-up as Cossack, a Slick and a grappler. I spent a good amount of time last night making 3 wonderful little arrows.
However, I am heading down today to do my patterning with the shotgun and making sure the red dot is true, kinda contradicting to my determination to use a bow.
It would simplify things if I could just bring both.
My wife is determined to hunt them this spring, so I may lose my crossbow to her while she waits for her firearms license.
I noticed the flocks are starting to break up a bit, scouting season is almost here!

The highest percentage of getting a turkey is to go after one with a plastic handle on it's arse, in the freezer section. My shotgun patterns turkey-head-tight out to 50 yards (yes 50) with Winchester Extended Range 3", 6's and XF choke.
That may be ethical but no longer fun IMO. I'm thinking more like 20 yards max this year. I respect your personal decision but the topic is which broadhead to use, not which implement of harvest. By responding as you did, it implies that those of us who choose X bows for turkey are unethical. Really? Deer too?

Sorry you read something into my post I did not intend to say. I did not say the crossbow is not ethical, in fact I said it is my choice in the archery only portion of the fall season!
I also hunt most of the deer season with a crossbow, but in the few days of gun and muzzleloader seasons I use the guns because I feel they giveme better odds of dropping a deer quickly and cleanly.

Ethics (my definition)is not which weapon you choose, butyour (or my)choice of the available legal weapon you have the most confidence in for a humane kill, then making sure you limit your shots to only those that have a high probability of success.

As for broadhead type - the most accurate broadhead from your bow is the only choice! I can't tell you what will shoot best, you have to try your choices and see how accurate they are. A huge cutting diameter that misses the vitals isn't much good, but a smaller razor sharp broadhead you can put into asmall target every shot will kill any turkey out there, as long as you can put it where it needs to go! For my Phoenix that narrows it down to a couple fixed blade broadheads for me. I've had mechanicals open in flight, and fail to open on game, so I just don't trust mechanicals. The "grappler" is a good addition, but there's still a chance of a bird flying off and they would be very difficult to track "on the wing".

I'll hunt turkeys this spring with my shotgun. For you...... it's YOUR choice, and I'll not belittle you if you choose something else (legally allowed) for you hunt. In fact, I wish you a safe, enjoyable, successful hunt!!!!!!!!

Then you accuse me of implying you're being un-ethical by using a crossbow!
The next line in my original post says:
