Default Desert Stryker Crank System

Hi All:
The one issue with Desert Strykers is the lack of a crank for those that desire the bow but need a crank assist. Well....The Parker Sidewinder crank system works!!!! It fits the butt of the bow snug, but very well, and you need the pins in the stock from the Bowtech rope aid, and the rope really needs to be replaced with a longer one, but it works!!! This now will allow those that want this bow but need a crank to consider this a viable option....

Would the sidewinder fit an Excal stock?

In fact it does. I bought one for my Terminator and made it work for my Vortex. Just drilled a hole in it's back and installed a 1/4" bolt that fits into the hole in backside of the stock on the Vortex.

Ya know...I actually never tried it. The butts look to be a fairly diferant shape, and I have both on hand so I just use the crank for whatever bow it is supposed to fit. Thanks....I learned something That is actually pretty cool. If someone has both bows he only needs to invest in one crank. Now I gotta run around and see what fits what between all the brands now...

Thanks for posting that! Makes me feel allot better. Been trying to get the funds together to get one of those Phantoms you have but if ya sell out before I can I am thinking this or that new parker you posted will be my crossbow. Now that you have these new D.S. in, do the triggers feel the same or do you think they have addressed the issue and any others with the crossbow?

No problem...

This particular bow and every new one that comes out of Bowtech from now on has the redesigned trigger in it. Be aware of that if anyone comes accross any for sale that may be older models that have not had the upgrade done on it. The new triggers are very crisp and about 5lbs, so they are actually very good. Now that I know it can be cranked, it is a great option for people.

P.S. I have 4 of the Phantoms left...

Developed by WoodMarvels.com, this great looking and unique 64 piece puzzle will bring joy to any child interested in a challenge! The pieces are 4mm thick which means they are very strong and when complete, glue the pieces together with carpenters glue within the provided frame for display purposes. Backing is not provided but almost any material will do.
