Could those who have strings from me with cat whiskers let me know how many shots you've taken with the cat whiskers on and what the condition of the rubber is? There are a few who wondering the longevity including you know who (not me).

I have about 30 shots on mine, and they're justlike brand new...
joking aside, with their placement and the way they're served on I dont see them wearing out anytime soon just from general shooting, I could see them taking some wearfrom "in field" use during hunting more than anything...
but then again this is the first one I've had, and its only a couple weeks old, so I couldnt really say...
Don, I am sorry I can not give you a better report but I put your string on and shot my buck soon after. I bet I only have fifty shots on it maybe a few more, but it still looks like it is new IMO. I have been spending to much time with my ML stuff and reloading. To cold to shoot the CB. It will probably be on vacation for another month or mid march.

No idea how long they will last, but after about 100 shots they still look like new. From looking at them closely, I'd say they are holding up very well, and still in great shape.
Just ordered a set of the STS sound supressors for my Phoenix, so when I get them I will add a few more shots to the total!
I have a little over 500 shots on mine, they are like the day I got the string (so is the serving). I had a few questionable moments over the winter, looked down a few times to see them thick with ice and snow but it had no effect on them at all.
I don't consider longevity an issue with these.
