It's a great bow! I have two of them. If you are an arrow addict then you'll appreciate the more friendly cocking effort. They are plenty easy on the servings too. A record moose was taken with one in Ontario so I think it is pretty good for deer too! Smolepole loves them!

Mostly marketing. People who want speed are willing to pay. The other reasons? No camo and no Disapator Pads. Other than that the other bows are the same bows that have longer strokes, thats all. You have to ask yourself, do you really want to cock 225 lbs rather than 150? Do you want to reserve strings often? Do you need more speed? Do you need a camo bow? Do you want more noise on the shot? Is the deer more dead with more speed? Can you estimate 30 yards? etc, etc, etc. Aside from all that it is considered an "entry" bow but it isn't, it's a great bow.
Oh I forgot to mention. I also own a Phoenix, an old Exocet 165 and an Exocet 200

You won't be disappointed as long as you don't feel the need for speed. You're going to love it when punching targets. You won't mind cocking it for a few hours. The ease of cocking helps you shoot a bit more accurately too. Lets see if any other opinons arise. Don't buy one just from what I say. Pick one up and shoot one.

If it will take a moose the it's a no-brainer. Out to 30, maybe 35 yards on a calm deer it will be very, very effecient. No problem at all. If I only had a Vixen I would not hesitate to whack a deer or moose.
