Default Suggested bolt to replace the LS2 lite?

Hello all -

I am getting back into the X-bow thing after a few year hiatus. I have a Horton Yukon and a few LS2 Lite bolts. This set up did fairly well for me and I was pleased with the accuracy it produced.

It appears the LS2 Lite is not made anymore? What would be a comparable bolt to shoot? Can I use the Lightning Strike MX bolts?

Randy, aka 10 pt Crossbow probably knows, or you could call Horton and roll the dice, lol.

The LS2's are just plane old 2216 shafts. If you go to any bow shop they should be able to cut a standard XX75 2216 down for you with no problem. Most shops that sell CB's do not sell the LS2 because it is a really light arrow. Was made for only the 150# CB's and the small recurve they had. I do not think any of the 175# models came with them. Guys where having speed dreams and shooting the LS2 out of the bigger bows giving it a dry fire affect and then calling the CB junk and blaming shop or Horton. Shops wised up to this and you used to be only able to get them from Horton directly at $40 for six! ouch!! You can use the LS-MX or the CS-MX just fine, your arrow will be a little slower, but will work. Also, the LS2 where 17", the bolts readily available today are 20" so they will stick out past the front a little. But you can go to a shop and have them cut down just fine to 17" and be good to go. That is what I did on my old super mag since I did not want to pay a arm and a leg for the LS2 from Horton.
