I'd say they are about the same. Some folks shoot both, others like myself can't shoot verticles anymore for health reasons. Ever shot one?

I would say to me it is more fun. I enjoy my Martin Dream Cast recurve, but hate when I do not shoot it for a couple of weeks and it feels like I am starting all over again. I have not shot that thing in a long time. I like any sport, but not something that dictates a schedule to me.

I shoot both but the x-bow is more fun, I know my wife likes them better by far. Lee
