Default first blood with crossbow

Out attempting to stick a deer this evening. Perfect night, cool, clear, NW wind. On stand for about 30 minutes when 2 coyotes came running by, usually prefer my bow or a rifle but the crossbow worked pretty slick. 15 yd broadside shot.

Fine looking Yote! Which CB where you shooting? I like the camo pattern on it.

Shooting an excaliber exocet, the last year before they came out with the realtree stock and exomag model. Got it from a buddy and can't say enough about it.

Way to go on the 'yote! We have alot of them around here too. But you don't see them very often. My buddy gets a few while fox trapping every year. I hear them yelping all the time before dark, but have only ever seen a few. He tells me they really like to eat cats! If he accidently gets a feral cat in a trap or snare, he uses them for 'yote bait! lol There are a large population of feral cats up here. Also had problems with wild dogs attacking and mauling livestock a few years back. They had a bounty on wild dogs until peoples pets started turning up missing. That's too bad. I love dogs and even like some cats. When it comes to money, SOME people will do anything.
