I got my first deer with a crossbow - nice 8 point buck. Made a perfect lung shot at 30 yards. The arrow entered right behind the near leg and hit the opposite shoulder blade. That knocked him off his feet and he died right there within sight. I am very impressed with the power of a crossbow but the big issue for me is the ability to make a confident shot.
My family is happy that we will have more venison this year.
Now I am watching for the tall-tined six pointer I have seen many times - he is an impressive buck!!

Congrats on your buck! Glad to hear you have some meat for the freezer. But what do you mean by this statement? Are you having trouble with your CB or having trouble in knowing where to shoot the deer?
