Default Shooting F-1 Chronograph

Anyone have any info on these units? I have a friend at work that has the beta version but do not think I need the extras it has, and also trying not to spend to much also. Getting ready to buy the range finder and would like to pick one of these up to. Any info or feedback would be great. I think Dan is the only one I know of that has one, but not sure.

Yes I have one, it works great. In fact the remote cord from the Beta Chron I had works on it, so I get shot strings and average velocity, etc.

I have the F1, not quite as fancy as the one in the picture, the diffusers on mine are cardboard, but I don't use them.
The Chrony works great, nothing fancy, turn in on and shoot. It only records one speed, the next arrow resets it and gives that speed.
You can download the manual from their website.

How close can you have it to your CB when shooting? Do I need to have it at least so far away, or can I have it a couple of feet away?
