Default Backyard shooting, Toronto ranges that allow crossbows

Hi everyone. I live in North York, Toronto. I hear the Science Centre range does not allow crossbows. Can anyone recommend a range in the GTA that allows xbows? I have a large backyard and I can set up a target with a steep hill as a backstop about 15 yards away, but I'd really like to go somewhere and do some proper shooting my recurve and my xbow. Is it even legal to use archery equipment in your backyard in Toronto?
Thanks

Try York County Bowmen (Newmarket) or the Oshawa Gun Club.

Digger, do you know John and Craig from Gagnon's?

BTW Re:Science Center archery range. I've seen guys shooting pellet rifles there so its hard to believe they enforce the crossbow rules. Maybe we should start a petition to the City to allow crossbows?

I think the Science Centre range is just an open range with no staff or anything so I am mystified as to how they could enforce any rules.
Is it legal to shoot in your back yard?

Donno for sure but I would assume the answer is no. If your arrow glanced off your inteded target and ended up in your neigbour's property there would be legal poop to pay. I know if your arrow ended up in my living room wall I would call the police, wouldn't you? There is a very general charge called public endagerment that is under the criminal code that you would be charged with.
There are days that Olympic shooters go there, that is what you want to avoid. The Parks department told me that they were going to run the range. Can you imagine the looks?
