awshucks,
Your deer weight calculating chart is probably accurate at least until it comes to the "edible meat" numbers.
I was a deer processor for years and my brother and nephew still do it. We saw these charts before and done some tests of our own.
We would take a head shot deer, for optimum ediblemeat,
weight it field dressed then work it up. We do notuse a saw, only knives, and weremove all bones, fat andsinew. Even with head shot deer the best we could come up with was between 25-28 percent edible meat. Then if one or both front shoulders were bloodied from the shot, edible meatdropped to 20% or below. We did this test on small and large deer and the numbers were consistent.

Dan don't you have to add 20 pounds to those weights to account for the human aspect. Everyone of them weighs more in the telling of the story. LOL. It's like fish.
But seriously I find the easiest way for me to do it is I just heft them onto my shoulder and stand on the scale. A little simple math and I have a very accurate weight. They generally fall into the 200 to 300pound zone. Well before the math anyway...

Dan that is a good chart. Put it up at the top so we have it. Its good info like that we get and then forget after time.
