First Hunt of the Year
Well Itook my two boys out for their first deer hunt. We were hunting out of a box stand that was really too small for all 3 of us. We got set up a little early because I figured it would take them some time to settle down. About an hour before dark I heard soemthing coming in behind us up wind. It was sveral deer. I was able to make out 5. As soon as they got to the brush line they ha dto cross over the small trail we came in on. They stopped and I could see one of the does looking straight at us. We were really quite but I knew what was coming. She finally made us and off they went. She must have blew 10 times. We are heading back this afternoon. I rewashed our clothes in that scent free stuff. I know a waste of time but I feel better now. Anyway both my boys 9 and 3 got really excited even to have heard the blowing.........
