Default marking string

What's the best you guys have found to mark you xbow strings to make sure they are cocked right?

I prefer the marks the hooks on my rope cocker leave on the serving, lol. Most use white out on dark serving or magic marker on light coloured [for Dnk] ones. You have to remember that the marks will be a tad further in on the rail when cocked, just keep them equal on rail.
