Am I crazy or what? OK, here's the story. This morning is cool and calm wind so I decide it's time for me to check those new Rage 2 blade broadheads that I'm using for the first time this year. Well my bow is dead on at 20, 30 and 40 yards with field points and my old spitfires bhs. So I check a field tip at 20yds, dead on. I then remove it and screw on the practice rage bh. I use only one arrow when I shoot. It hit 1 and a half inches high.I try again and same thing. So I move target to 30 yrds. 3" high. 40 yrds, 4 and a half inches high but windage was perfect. Now, I move back to 20 yards, 1 and a half high. I switch to the field tip again and it's dead on. Is it possible that the new rage bhs shoot flatter than a field tipOR is the rage plaining upwards a little downrange? The only thing I knew what to do at the time was: move the scope down 1 and a half clicks for the rage bhs. It then hit bullseye. And since I'm going to be using this bh, I wanted the scope deadon. BUT,what's up with the plaining. I've never encountered this before. I just I'm just crazy! LOL

shooting a field tip the rear of the arrow is doing the driving. Now that you changed the front it can be allowing alittle bit of lift on the front causeing it to hit higher.
All tips fly different, even different field tips will fly different. I would simply do as you say and adjust your sights for the broad heads you plan on shooting.
I concider field tips as practice get you in the ball park kinda tip. Then fine tune your bow and setup for the broad head you plan to use.
