Default Problems with Horton 3dot scope....hmmm

Yup, now my Hoton Hunter integral red dot scope is doing the same thing I read on here last week. I am very dissapointed to say the least. Actually pretty pissed right now. I just got the thing sighted in where I wanted it and getting used to it. Now it looks as if I'm going to have to send it back to Horton. And it's getting closer to hunting season here in IN. The red dots are blinking and going out. I have to fumble around with it to get them to stay on. I've only used it to basically sight in. Very little target practice yet... I've tried a new battery, same thing. The contacts look alittle dark, I will try to clean them. If I have to send it back I am going to ask for an upgrade to the lite rite, at the very least! I can't affrd a lumi-zone and scope rail right now or I would do that. Now I'm going to have to get some new bolts, or get some of the old ones re-fletched and start over. I have 3 put back for deer season. had 10 altogether. It sucks not having any money. I'm sorry guys, and gals. I just had to let off a little steam!! lol Has anyone had the scope problem and been able to fix it themselves? I don't want to mess with it too much, so they don't void my warranty....thanks,

chris

Thanks, I will try that. I was going to ask you earlier when you where online, but you logged out. I sent the girl @ Horton an email explaining the problem. I told her I wasn't very happy with the sight. But she is nice and has been very helpful when I called andasked her about some product info. I hope I didn't come off as being a butthole. I kinda wish I would have waited and called. It's just that I am running out of time here. (till season). Thanks again to you and everyone else. You guys are great. This is the bestforum I belong to.

Horton has a turn-around-time of 48 hrs. Once they get you're problem, they have it on it's way back in 48 hrs. No problem solving problems, what little I know about alot and what lot I know about a little, I'm always willing to share. Hope it works out for ya!!

Edited to add: Last I knew, Horton requires a "return authorization" number, so be sure to call them and get that prior to any returns.

"response to smokenpole"

Unfortunately that's all I could afford until I get my disabilty. My spines so ate up with disease, I feel fortunate for what I have, and that I can still get in the woods. (and back out)

Some days I can barely walk, and today's one of them. (But I'm lucky I still can.)

All I can do is the best I can with what I have. Maybe someday I can afford one of those 1000 dollar setups. But for now I'm happy.

I'm not neccessarily riled... that's pretty much how it is for me.... believe me, I wish I could get something better. I would have waited and tried to saveup more money but I wanted in the woods this fall. Maybethat did kinda get to me, because actually I'm starting to wonder that myself! lmao now. I'm gonna dose my morphine and try to get up and movin'! Setting around this apartment isn't helping my mood any.

sorry if I got a little excited, truth hurts.

I don't know bout the bow, but I know you're right about the scope... IT DOES SUCK!!!!
