Default Tomorrow is the big day

OK with any luck I will be home tomorrow and will be goingto look at the bows again. I plan on getting a bow and target. Is there anything else I need to pick up. I have read about waxing the strings. Does it matter which wax I buy? Anyone want to start a pool on which one I get??????

CB, cocking rope, strings, wax, string aid, maybe a scope with mounts and rings. Arrows with pts. and a target and keep thumbs and fingers below the rails.

Well I have made it in and stopped by Bass Pro in Memphis. I was able to shoot all the bows that I had it narrowed down to. I had a hard time deciding between the Pheonix and the Legacy. I bought the one that was the most comfortable to me. I liked the way both of them shot but the Legacy was much more comfortable. I guess I will have to be the guinea pig on this one. The guy at Bass Pro set it up and was grouping nicely at 20 yrds. I shot it several times and really felt comfortable with it. i will get a chance to shoot it tomorrow. We will see if I made a bad decision I guess. Thanks for all your imput and help.........

I will be the first one to say thanks Chris! We needed someone to start giving us some feedback on That CB! How did it feel weight wise compared to the Excal. That was my first turn on for the Excal was weight, but never held a Legacy either. What poundage did you get?

I knew I was going catch some grief on this one. I was laughing to my self thinking about when I made my descision....True>>>>I am going to take it out in a minute and shoot it. It is heavier then the pheonix so this would not be a good stalking bow. They were both really close in the way they shot. My selling point was the way it felt when I held it. I will let yall know how the first practice goes........

Well ya go ahead and shoot it and tell us how that sow's ear does! I will forever more call it that, unless it proves to be a good one! Then i will call it a sniveling red headed step child!

You're the first person I read about that got one of Hortons new recurves. They are the closest thing to an Excal to come down the pike in a long time, lol. Alot of us have been waiting for them to hit the shelves. Good thing about Cabelas and Bass Pro is you can return virtually anything if you don't care for it or have problems right out of the gate.
