Default First Crossbow

I have a Horton Hunter Elite, and I am going to have the rest of the equipment I am told by the end of May.

I wanted to know how I should apply rail lube, string wax, any tips as to care, safe hadleing, and shooting. I also need a very cheap target to practice on. I am disabled, and if I can avoid having to buy a target then I need to. Thank you in advance!
Joe

I would suggest that you go to Hortons web site and request the manual
for your model bow and read it over TWICE and then come back on here
and ask any questions you may have.Every body here are a bunch of the
greatest people you will ever meet! The knowledge that they can share
and help you with is endless and they will help in any way they can,but
you will need the manual to help you meet the needs that your crossbow
has to function the best for you, good luck if you need a target I would
suggest a Morell they stop the arrows great!

ok cheapest bag target, get 2 burlap feed bags after the animal has been used. Then stuff full and stuff hard with old clothes that are not useable.

I suggest that you use your wife's clothing to see if she really loves you! She may be tricking you!

I have found that the Rag-Bag works great. Only difference is I use carpet padding rolled up tightly and stuffed into burlap bags instead of clothing. For broad heads I just don't put it in the burlap....Bill
