Default Heavy hunting weapons

Today out of curiosity I weighed my deer hunting weapons. The clear winner was my crossbow, which, fully loaded, tipped the scale at 11lbs. The Encore was a touch over 10lbs, the 11/87 slug gun with ironsights 8lb, the white mountain carbine 6.5lb, and my parker buckshot compound with accessories the lightweight at 4lbs. I would like to see the naysayers of using crossbows in the archery season hike 3/4 mile into the woods with a 10lb+crossbow, 20lb climber stand, and another 10lbs of clothing and accessories and see how easy it is. Let's just say I lost a couple pounds myself this past season

My crossbow weighs exactly 10 lbs, my pack weighs 4.5, that's a lot of weight.. I hope I can find a stand at 20 lbs..

If crossbows only weighted 4 pounds, you'd never see the arrow hit it's target for the great recoil it would hit ya with. Heavy is good sometimes. Heavy handed, heavy breath, heavy on your feet, heavy hearted, or heavy metal, Noooooo! LOL

I hope Mn passes a new reg that allows crossbow durring reg bow season for non-disabled hunters just to pi$$ off the anti-crossbow people....And this is comming from a guy that has hunted with Compound and Trad for 23 yrs....(mostly compound).....
It will not make any change inhow or where I hunt.
