RE: cross bow scopes work on a compound bow??
I can help a little here. I doubt that an xbow scope will work on your verticle due to eye relief being wrong. The reticules do not adjust like pins, they are fixed. Of all the xbow scopes made that I'm aware of, the Excal Vari-zone is the only one that has a feature to adjust poi at various ranges. In actuality, it is just a variable power [2.5X4] that has the magnification ring near ocular graduated in fps. It ranges from 250 - 350 fps. Once you sight the cross hairs in at 20 yds, you then go to 50 yds, use the lowest aimpoint, shoot and adjust poi by turning that ring. Once the 50 is on, so are the 30 and 40 yd triangles. You might be able to use either a scope made for a pistol or shotgun, but I have little experience w/ either.
