Default perfect evening

sorry this is a few days late but have been busy..
i got off work at about 330 wed afternoon and waspulling intomy hunting spot at 345. i got there andtherewas still a nice layer of snow about 2 inchs deep. i have 2 ways to get into this property top along a well road or bottom along heavly used deertrails. i decided on the bottom that day and it was a GOOD choice. i got about 50 yds into the property and stopped to look over a blowdown about 45yds away where the deer usually bed. well as im looking i have 6 doeswalk up the hill to the blow down and instead of hanging around it the just kept comming. so i hunker down on my knee and wait well they wind me but cant find me with their eyes so they r nervouse but they keep comming. well i hear something behind me and figure its my buddy gettin in late and i cant look cuz the does r 35yds to my 2 oclock and just behind brush so i have no shot yet.
well needless to say the lead doe walked to my lane and i put a crimson talon(no my usual head) attached to a carbon(not my usual alum) right though the sweet spot and watched her pile up about 15yds away..funny thing was when i turned around to look for my friend it wasnt him at all but 4 more does on the top of the ridge where i usually come in. first time i ever snuck in and didnt bump anythin..it was great..thanks for lettin my ramble.

Congrats!! Good story, happy ending, lol. I got a "Gimme" this year, too. Kinda like payback for all those long cold hours seeing nada.

Congratulations! Perfect shots on animals that come to you are pretty special moments. Makes you feel like a somebody! LOL!
I got my gimme too 200 yards with my 300. Not as special as a bow kill. But I'll take it any day its offered.

Every deer hunter needs a gimmie once in a while. WTG!! And BTW, aren't you so glad that it was just does behind you instead of a bruiser buck? LOL.
