Hello,
Have been reading this forum for some time now. Have learned some does and don't. Have a question, what is the best thing a person can use for rail lube? I know I will catch it from some, Just received a Barnett Quad 4 for X-mas. First X-Bow. Thank's for the help and remember i'm new to this.

Barnett Lubewax is specifically formulated to prolong the life of bowstrings. It is also used for lubricating the rails of the crossbow to reduce friction and increase velocity.

Thank you ,
There was a small tube sent with the X-bow. Didn't want to shoot it with out knowing. Hear people talking about a tube of "Rail Lube".

Retiredarmy, welcome to the forum. i am retired Army also. Be sure to wax the string seizing very often, about every 10 shots. Take the bow down once inawhile and really coat the cables with wax where they cross inthe slot. Some of the seizing can only be waxed when the bow is cocked. The Quad 400 is a very powerful crossbow. Wish you well with your new crossbow.

Oops, wax the track about every 5 shots.
