Default NAP Quick Spin vanes

Has anyone had any experience using these at appx. 300 fps? I understand they are great vanes, but will they withstand the force of being used in a crossbow?
I asked in a shop, a shop that never seems to have an answer, so now I'll ask you guys and gals.

*edit* I read there are two kinds, regular and firm..

I haven't used them but they have a little kicker on the end of the vanes that causes a disturbance which causes the arrow to spin. Bottom line is that is does what an offset or helical does, no different. I have some that I bought from The Bow Shop but I haven't bothered to install them. When I get around to it I'll let you know. Meantime I think I will reserve your string tonight!

Thanks for looking after that string!
The Bow shop is the place that told me I wouldn't be able to use them on a crossbow, but they also told me the FFF string is the slowest string made for the Excalibur line??

The colors on the Quick spins seemed to be more brilliant, also I just read alittle article on them (not an advertisement) that said they give outstanding results. But they didn't mention what launching themfrom 0 to 350 kilometers per hour out of a crossbow would do to them.

Dave, ask them why I use them on my Vixen and both Exocets. Life will get much better when Arlene gets back! You have to tell her about all the stupidity that goes on when she's not there. I use them and have no problems with them at all. I see no reason to use anything else. If they stop making them I will make them myself.

The only reason I go there is because of your confidence in Arlene, I just haven't had the luck of catching her in there, I am sure my spirit will be restored once I meet her.
I really want to get my speed back up after switching to a heavier bolt, and these people are equipped to assist me, just bad timing on my part I guess.
The Quick Spins are supposed to get the bolt spinning up to 300% faster than a Blazer, using their idea of a shorter length and taller vane.. I hate to say it, but I think I will try some just because of how good they look.
Yup, Fish on.

The quick spins do slow down an arrow. They cause spinning by causing a disturbance in the air, a negative pressure on one side of the vane just like an air foil or aircraft wing which causes the lift on one side of the vane hence the spin. The Blazer is more efficient by cutting the air. Quick Spins are pretty polular and apparently pretty accurate. Give us all a report on how you like the two different vanes I sent you.

Well here is the 1.5 inch Quick Spin sitting next to my 2 inch Blazer vanes
20 inch Gold Tip Laser II, 125 grain field tip head, aluminum front and rear inserts, total 363 grains, 13.2 FOC.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/Mudball/QuickSpin.jpg
No problems so far and cant see any sign of where the edge of the vanes are rubbing the rail. Im going to stop testing until I get a scope again maybe this spring or summer. I can test more accurately with a scope and Im going to build a better rest to shoot from. The factory peep sight is great but a scope is much better. I didnt readjust my factory sights because they are a bugger to readjust and its already sighted in for my heavier brass inserted bolt Im currently using.
Any way there is no difference (or not noticeable) between the point of impact between the quick spin and blazers. The points of impact stayed the same for both up to forty yards with field tips. If the the quick spins was spinning too much then I believe they would slow down causing the bolt to drop its point of impact but that was not the case. That might be the case if I was to use the suggested larger quick spin vanes and then it might make a difference. The problem with these smaller 1.5's is that I thought they wouldnt control well enough. When I tried the Montec G5 125 grain head with the 1.5 quick spins the point of impact was the same.
The 1.5 Quick Spins only weigh 3 grains each...pretty light. I will have to try more accurate results after I get a scope. But I was impressed so far

DNK, Thanks for the string, it is great!
I have not tried the 2" vanes yet, but soon will.
The Quick spins made no difference on POI, I tried every variable I could to see if they would excell, but no. Each 4" Quick Spin had the same POI as 4" Duravanes, no difference at all from 20 to 50 yards.
