Default Crossbow for a handicap hunter .

I am Disabled I had my arm bend at the elbow the wrong way I have had 4 operations on it and I have bad nerve damage. While I can shoot a gun fine I can not shoot a bow anymore but I am looking into a crossbow, My DR said he fill out the paperwork so I could hunt all season long with it. But they cost alot of $$$ and I can't even pull one back. I have seen the cranks you turn and a battery operated thing but they cost a 1/3 of a crossbow. is there a crossbow that is truly made for a disabled hunter that don't break your pocketbook?

do a member serch and get in touch with catsclaw, bet she would have some info that will help you ,
my thought would be you get what you pay for..
if you buy a good quality crossbow chances are it will be the last one you have to buy, unless you decide to upgrade by choice. I dont know what your budget is but with some serching you can find some good deals on crossbows and here real soon the 2007 modles will be coming out so you shouild be able to find dome good deals on 2006 modles..

Welcome to the best xbow forum on the net! I just bought a "Crankaroo" for gal pal to cock an Excal for $84 from Danny Miller at [740] 483-2312. They only work on Excals. The 10 pt Accudraw is quieter, permanently mounted to bow, generally considered the best out there, but is around $200 and you have to have it installed by someone who knows what they are doing on any bow it will fit on besides a 10 pt. I'm an Excal fan, you can get a Vixen or Phoenix fairly cheap off of Ebay at www.bowhunterssuperstore.com Good luck!!

xbows can be a little pricey. but you get what you pay for. best advice is to buy a name brand. it will last a lifetime and hold it's resale value. i have the cockeroo and it works great. welcome to the forum and good luck.
