RE: How many twists should be in the string?
Congrats on the new bow! Since you didn't post which of three possible strings you are talking about, there's no way to answer your questions. If you take a ruler and measure back from where the rail meets the riser on top, make a mark w/ sharpie at 1 1/4" and try to keep your string there, you will be at the "sweet-spot" for most Excals. As long as you are inbetween the two scribed marks on top of the rail you're good to go. If you have other questions about where it's shooting, ect. it would help to know the weight of the arrows.

My Exocet is a few years old but like awshucks said there should be a line scribed on the deck (mine only has one), I just do trial and error until the string is covering it.

did you get the DVD or Video with your Exocet?? if not I will send you one , it will tell you all about string twist and has a whole lot more useful info on it, string twist can vary but as long as you keep it between the 2 scribed lines you will be fine the if you wish you can expierment and add or remove twist to fid the sweet spot. let me know if you need the Video or DVD..
