Default Crossbow Hard Case: Who Makes The Best One !

I purchased a 4 wheeler this year and I'm convincedI will need a hard case to protect my scope. Choices : Flambeau Sting Ray or Plano Crossbow Case....Does anyone own one of these and what do you like and don't like about each model ? Any help would be greatly appreciated to help me make this choice ??? Thank You !

I have the sting ray and I like it, but I haven't seen any of the others so I son't know if it is better or not.

It is a bit bulky, but is padded fairly well and has some nice storage compartments in side for extra broadheads, string wax, rail lube, etc...

mitchmtm1 - Thank you for your reply to my question. I did go and look at this Flambeau Sting Ray model you spoke of and I was impressed. It was well made and with the floor padding and the tie down straps my crossbow is not going anywhere. I bought one ($49.99) and my Horton Legend W/Full size scope fits inside of it well. I did call Horton to make sure my model would fit this case and they assured me it would . The salesman did say the 10 Point crossbow W/Scope would NOT fit in this model so I'm passing this along to maby save one of you some aggravation of buying something that will not work for you !!! Sincerely, DeerMe

DeerMe:

I have the Flambeau Sting Ray case and you can see a picture of my Horton fitting perfectly in there @ http://www.huntingnet.com/fieldjournal/fieldjournal_detail.aspx?nID=500 It also has some nice other features, built-in broadhead screw, and 2 accessory compartments with lids. Good luck!

That seams kinda strange that the salesman would tell you that my dad has the same case and his TenPoint EliteLite fits it just fine scope and all.. so I think it just might be certain ones that may not fit.. will have to see if my ProElite will fit in his case...

ryanaller - That's a fine looking Horton Crossbow you have there young man. I wishI had that set up whenI was your age. It certainly sounds like you have done your homework. I 've seen a couple of successful deer hunts that were recorded in NW Oklahoma with some BIG Deer.Good Luck to you with your new set up and Thank You for your reply to my question. Now I know (2) people that live in Yukon,Ok.....You and Garth Brooks !!!! Sincerely, DeerMe

htoler - Thank You for your reply to my question. I'm glad to hear your Dad's Ten Point Elite Lite will fit in this case. Make sure you let us know if your Ten Point Pro Elite will fit in that case. That's what this forum is forI believe to help one another by sharing. That salesman never mentioned what model he had the complaint on. This was the same salesman that told me this case would fit all Horton Scopes w/red dots but he told me he did not think it would fit my Horton with my full size Horton scope soI did not buy it until I spoke with Horton's customer service. I don't think he was trying to favor one mfg. or another mfg. regarding this but it was clear he did not want yelled at again !!! Good Luck to you and your Dad this year.... Sincerely, DeerMe
