I can sneak across the road and pick off 4 groundhogs a day on that farms feild I needed a scope to put on there so i pulled the red dot off my horton, i can afford a real scope yet, the $400 i dropped for the gun plus the $360 for the legend plus the $300 i put in the hunter xbow leaves me with a big fat 0 lol, and i paid for it all with my OWN money[:@]

I am amazed that thelittle guy is not in shreds! Good job and keep killing them little snots! Most guys do not know it but them little guys kill fox and gray squirrel's and in time can take over a woods! I kill every one I see. The DNR told me that they gang up on the nest and kill the little ones. Kill them all!!!

not sure, ask my catShe gets every one i shoot, but i keep the squirrels. It wasnt blown to pieces because it was a 25 yard shot with .410 #6 shot long range. I turned to look what was running across the back woods and here he came so i just waited untill he stood straight up on his back legs on top of a good sized bolder, i shot and because i flinch when i shoot i couldnt tell what happend. I walked up and found aspray of blood on a leaf that was in the underside of the bolder, i thought oh great he's under there. I'm not one to leave game behind so i attemped to pick up the big rock, no avail. I ended up having to use a few tree branches about 7 inches across and a few rocks to pick it up enough to grab him by the tail and pull it out. So, that was the first blood of the squirrel season

Thomas let me help ya out! Alot of guys have "shooters flinch" and never get over it! I had it till I bet I was about in my mid twenties. You are not scared of the gun or you would not shoot it. But your eyes and the part of your brain that controls your eyes are. Its self defense for the eyes, they want to shut because they think they could get hurt! Now fallow these steps and you WILL be able to overcome it!

First you have to have a BB gun with a scope, but iron sites will do. You and I both know that a BB gun will not kick so when you shoot, force yourself to keep your eyes open. Don't worry about hitting the target but just try to squeeze and keep your eye open. Once you master that at that level you will feel better. But do not go to the next until you can shoot your BB gun with the eye open the entire time!

Next you get out a .22 and go to wal-mart and buy what is called CB's. They were made in my opinion for the late night out of season coon poacher, but that is a different issue. But any ways, you get the CB's and shoot them. A CB is a 22 with not hardly any powder in them. They are not much louder then a BB gun, in fact alot of guys shoot them in town all the time to take care of rat and other rodent problems. But this is the next step. You shoot them, they don't kick and the report is low so it will be easy to learn to keep your eyes open with them if you first mastered the BB gun.

Now when you get the CB's mastered you go and get some 22 shorts. work on them the same way. Don't worry about the target, force your self to keep the eyes open. Once you keep you eyes open, you work on target! After the shorts get some longs and do the same thing. This will take a few days, don't try and cram it in one afternoon!

After the 22 are done move up to your 410. And I will not say everything twice but you get the pattern right? Buy small short 410's and work on them. Also wear earplugs, this will help with the sound which will help your eyes. This is alot of work, but it is a good training method that worked for me! Now get out your BB gun and get started!
