and WOW it is so fast and accurate.......put my scope on and tightened it down and went to sight it in and at 30 yds the it was dead on without any adjustment!.......i got one question though,i have the "fast string" on it and after about 15 shots i looked and the string had actually slid down about and inchtowards the limbs.....is this common and ifso do you just readjust the string once you see that or will it be ok>?
The FFF and the Flemish dacron stretch quite a bit, w/ the FFF being the front runner in that dept. If you haven't adj it at all yet, try putting twists in it until its about a quarter inch ABOVE the high mark, let it set over night and then shoot a dozen or so, it will settle in sooner or later. As long as it's between the two scribe marks, you're ok. you can tie the loops together to prevent it from unwinding and break a second string in, that way if you need to change one in the field you already have the dirty work done, lol. Enjoy!!
Oh yeah Excal's bad boy throws Lightning Bolts! Glad u like it, i will shoot awshucks one of these days. Just a matter of getting over there to visit him.

DNK my Exocete is great for deer. Complete pass through is all you need. Next year I will be going moose hunting with these guys. Ranges are a little longer and I would feel better with a flatter trajectory. Besides I haven't bought a new toy in quite a while. My new Atv, lawn tractor don't count and of course new hunting clothes aren't toys they are necesities. LOL
If I ever have the nads to go for a moose with a crossbow I have all I want. Either the Vixen or my Ole Exocet. In case anyone don't know they are both Excaliburs! hey hloter, spank me! LOL!
