Default cocker problem

i have an older crossbow and we took it to the shop and they said they couldnt put a cocker on it cause it was too old. i hurt my shoulder playing football and i cant even use the string cockers. what really ticks me off is that the guy was a jack*** about it and didnt even look at it. we were in there less than 5 minutes and the guy didnt touch it.

Can you post some pics of your bow? If you can take some up close pics of the stock and the latch area. Their are a few guys that have done "custom" cocking on some bows with ten points cockers. If you post the pics I am sure they could help you.

First off welcome to the forum!
I suppose you are not talking about a rope cocker. I think its a great idea to let us see your xbow. Someone here may be able to help. Other than that contact Dan Miller who is an Excal dealer. I don't have his number but a few guys here have it. Good luck and don't be shy about asking questions no matter how stupid they seem.

The Horton crank up cocker that mounts on the part of the stock that goes against your shoulder and is taken off and carred in a pouch can be mounted on a lot of xbows with hand tools. Lee

Squirrel, you constantly amaze me in your early maturity that you drift in and out of. Some times you act your age and sometimes I'd swear you were fourty. Thanks Thomas.
