went out to check my trail cams today,, and guess what someone stole them 2 of them good thing they were only the 35mm types.. and it was even private land posted no tresspassing. guess I will have to fond a better way of locking them to a tree..
guess this will give me a reason to order one of those digital ones in a couple of weeks .. some people I would not bother anyones trail cams or treestands or blinds unless I had permission.. but not all people are honest..
That sucks!! When I put mine up I could not let it out there unprotected so I made a custom box out of steel. The bear safe boxes they sell seemed to light to me so I made mine nice and heavy!! Its held on the tree with nice and long lag bolts and has a no see lock, the only thing you can get to is the key hole. The flash and the lense hole are open too.

That sucks Henry!! Man I hate a thief!! I got ripped off here at the house a month or so ago, bunch of guns and my 3 mo supply of pain killers. It was a set-up and I knew who did it, got it all back as the town cops caught him that very evening and didn't put two and two together til I called them the next day once I heard he was in the bar city hotel.
I've got a couple of those 35 mm cams I'm not using, be glad to give them to ya, one was bit up pretty good by bears, but think it still works, let me know.
well I would rather you sell them to me but yes I could definately put them to use,, I would grate;y appriciate that. as things sre going to get tighter for me, we had a big reduction at work. and are getting our cut, like most places seams our jobs are going south of the border also.

Henry: guess I shoulda pm'ed ya, lol but I've hated them things ever since I got em. Been looking for a good way to get rid of them, they pizzme off every time I look at them. I had to track one of them down twice when the bears decided to play volley ball w/ it, which only further irritated me, just hate to lose stuff. the fact that you can use them is great although the circumstances aren't. I've tried giving them away down here, but even the Arkies don't like them lol. You gotta pm. I think the price is right, if not let me know.
I've been wanting to get a couple trail cams for a while now but, I'm afraid they will get stolen. I saw in the paper last year where a guy had his stand stolen, the thing was the thief didn't see the trail cam that caught him steeling it. So the owner put an add in the paper that if his stand was not returned he would take the photos to the police.
What a bunch of dirt bags out there. Went to check on a couple of stands. They were just loggy cheap seats but they were gone. Not only did they take the stands, they took the tree steps and to add insult to injury they took the time to take a big dump under my tree. Even left the paper. That is why I don't have a trail cam. $50 bucks I can take, but not a few bills. Geez.. what a bunch of losers....
