RE: ExCal Users Which String
Henry: let me translate that for ya. Once upon a time, long ago, Excals had "carved" limb tips, which looked like limb tips on recurves or trad vertical bows. They have since went to "molded" tips, which look like your Phoenix used to and your E'cet does today. A little "cover" that looks like it was added to the limb tip. Their info on string choice is trying to tell ya that you can't use fff on carved tips. Not a problem you have to deal w/. The E'cet gets 330 fps w/ the FFF string, which is HARD on your bow as it has no "give". If you dry fire the E'cet like the other guy did the Phoenix and you got a FFF on, you're fate is in the wind. Use a dacron, and all of this goes away. the FFF is offered for guys that have vast amounts of experience w/ xbows and want to get every fps available. The average user doesn't need, want or care about this MINOR difference in velocity. Btw: "Kath" is Bill T.'s wife, co-owner of Excal, so you have managed to talk to both of them. Quit worrying about the small stuff and shoot the p*ss outta the dang thing!! lol
