Default Excals Wax center serving yes or no ??

I have been told not to because it is just a dirt and grit magnet and will cause your center serving to seperate,,and will build up in your trigger.
yet the Excal Video says to wax it has me lost..

what do you do ??

I use the wax, i put some on piece of leather and rub it in real good all around the serving. There may be some type of dressing they can be applied to serving and not make it weak or rot, mink oil? Criso? Just so you have someon hand to fry up those fresh back straps right there in woods!

WAX your serving. I wax mine, heat it with a lighter, then put more on and then rub it in. Wax on wax off! I have never acutally worn a serving, I usually replace them out of fear. The ends/loops wear but my serving doesn't. Reserving is easy by the way and cheap too! All you need is serving material and a serving too. Just hook up the loops and put the strings under tension and reserve in the direction of the string twist. It may take some experimenting but its pretty well figured out in a few attempts. WAX YOUR SERVING.

do as they say, they know!! that should find ya.

I always wax mine and rewax every day or two.deffently after a few shots.it is always easer to wax , than to replace or reserve the string.
