I sold my Horton and bought a Barnett . I'm much happier with it . Aluminium stock , solid scope mount . I got it sighted in and it shoots pretty good . The difference is - I will be making a rope cocking device for it . The Barnett is much bigger than the Horton . The trigger is not great , but I bought a xbow so I could shoot prone - the bipod will make the bad release alot more forgiving . FYI - it's a rhino magnum .
Good for you!! New toys are always neat! Keep us informed how ya do? And that idea about making a rope cocker is one that I've mulled over a bit, finally gave in and bought a spare, because I couldn't find pulleys that I could incorporate w/ hooks. I would be "extra interested" in what ya come up w/ there!
I'll try to make it to the hardware store this weekend . I was thinking about - a couple of carabiner's a leangth of steel cable and some sort of handle . I will probably re-invent my cocker as I go along . If it works well , I'll post a picture of it . Thanks guys .
