For what , a paperweight ?
Unless you're so severely handicappedthat youcan only trigger one with a mouth blow device crossbows are pretty much decorative or strictly for back yard target shooting in NY . Check your fish and game regs , you'll see what I mean .

The American Crossbow Federation has 54 member in the Buffalo are of New York. Just because the crossbow is illegal in NY does not mean that there are not people that there that use it to hunt. A good friend of mine from Lockport, NY and I have share a campfire on half a dozen crossbow hunts. None of them were in NY, but we were still hunting with a crossbow.

If those that favor the crossbow in NY State would just organize, I beleive that there would be enough of them to overide those that wish the crossbow to disappear back to the medievil days of lore. If changes are to be made, those that wish those changes to happen, must pull their hands our of their pockets, quit feeling sorry for themselves and get to work. It is the only way that it is going to happen.

Of course that is just my opinion - I could be wrong.

Kevin i know the rules, and they suck but that doe'st mean we do'nt have these toys. Our problem in NY is ignorance, and the NYB assoc. got to much political clout. Come and join me in Ohio this fall. Good Hunting and fishing Rich K.

Sounds inviting Rich , but gas and my wife's recent income downturn prevent it . [&o]

I'm fortunate in that Indiana allows them for late season archery deer , early season ain't happening because of a$$hole bowhunter clubs like you mentioned . Ironically , we can hunt any other game or non-game animal with them .
