Default cooking

which is better to cook with at a base camp,,a portable propane stove or fire pit and dutch oven or is thre ways better than these to cook

Cook anyway you like, just bring the propane as a backup.

Cooking on an open fire is always fun but like the other post I would suggest that you take the propane just in case.

gas is always more even heat.it starts when you are ready and not haveing to keep puting wood to the pit.
it makes a lot better biscuts in the oven rather than in a dutch oven with coals.

this is what I use- heats fast- works well in thin air
if you have never hunted above 7000ft -
