Default Wild turkey soup?

How do ya make it? With what? Is it a favorite?

I have one more turkey in the freezer and was thinking about doing something different. May is coming fast and I have to make room for the newbies.I love any kind of soup, so I was thinking of putting my last feathered friend in a soup. So whatta we have?

don't have any thing on soup.we put them in rice dressing.
remove breast to fry.
cut leggs , wings , and carcus up so as to go into crock pot.
put in crock with an onion and carrot, salt and pepper.let cook over night.the next morning.
remove all the bones, strain juice off.chop meat fine.
boil 3 or 4 eggs,chop fine.
finly chopp a large onion.
cook two cups rice;(using the juice from the crock pot instead of water)
take rice ; onion ; eggs ; turky meat ; (some selery if you like ; I don't) mix all well.
put inot pyrex dish and add some of the leftover juice.
bake ant 375 till the onions are done and to the dryness you like your dressing to be.

slice the breast, make homemade biscuts and cranberry sauce,a meal fit for a king.[8D]

You can use it in any soup recipe that calls for chicken, you'll just have to brown it or "crock it" (ala TC's recipe) and chop it fine.

Go to The Gumbo Pages for some good recipes. Many of them are quite flexible and can be made with different game meats.
