Default Thawing and Re-freezing Meat Question

I hopefully will be grinding some freshly killed pork later in the month.

I would like to add in deer meat but all I have is already frozen. Can I thaw it out, grind it and mix it?

If not, any other recommendations that would allow me to mix the two meats?

Thanks in advance.

Yes just remember to thaw it out in the fridge, not on the counter. If your going to grind it you don't necessarily have to thaw it completely, just enough to dice.

All of the above. Plus the don't refreeze comes from long ago when there wasn't good refrigeration. and was for complete defrost to room temperatures or at worst 90 degrees +in the summer.
