yes just strain it, or better yet make a batch of french fries, then strain and save. Good for at least 4-5 goes.

We never reuse it for turkey-we do a turkey, then follow with a couple of ducks. Strain it between uses. then I like to finish with domestic chickens-gives em a nice taste based on the stuff we inject the turkey with-never thought about taters but bet that would make them good to-got a friend who follows turkey with sweet corn still in the husk-have had it a man o man will it make your eyes light up.

I really don't do it to make them taste good, It clenses the oil somehow. But they still taste good.

as soon as my oil cools,I strain it and put back into jug for later use.if I don't have another turkey to cook,I use it for all my frying use.chickens, fish, taters,or what ever.if you cook a big batch of taters , they will kinda (Clean) the oil.
I use it till is runs out or get brunt(if you use peanut oil) it doesn't burn like other oils.never waste the oil,it is good for all sorts of cooking.[8D]

Tree Climber you bring up a good point. I think I must have burned my oil, because I don't think it was re usable. My problem (I think) was that I did not have a good thermometer. I have since purchased a good thermometer and my frying has become better. What temperature do you guys normally cook at?

I reuse mine many times. The oils I get say on the box that you can filter and reuse for three months. If you burn it though it will be trash. Watch yor temp.

On another note I found that after you inject the bird with what ever marinaid you are going to use I melt some butter and inject that as well right before it goes in the fry pot. Realy enhances the marinaid and moistens the meat.

straining and reusing the oil if fine. Commercial kitchens do it all the time. Of course there does come a time that you will need to change it.
