Default Deep fat fry a turkey

Does anyone know if you can deep fat fry a turkey that has been skinned? I was told you couldn't after I skinned the darn thing.

Thanks

you can ; but it want work as good (will get dry). the skin is what holds in all the juices. the best ones to fry are the store bought one.we have tried the wild ones and most seem to get tough, thats the ones we try.
someone may have a way to do it that works??????????????????????????????????????

I would suggest trying one of those injectors (looks like a big needle) to inject marinade into the meat. We use one when we deep fry our wild turkey and the meat is always tender and juicy.

We do leave the skin on our birds, however, so I am not sure how this would work on a skinless bird.

I wouldn't wast a good bird on an experiment. Get one from the market to try first. Oh by the way, Leave the skin on.

Breading it will protect the skinned meat and add an interesting new dimention .
Kinda like eating a real big piece of fried chicken .
