ABM's Favorite Moose Pita'tomato Raita

I think it will be ok to give this out
this dish is only made when ABM gets a moose because it tastes better fresh from th field.
MARINADE
1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano,or 1 teaspoon dried oregano,crumbled
1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic
1/4 teaspoon salt

2 pounds moose meat cut into 1 to 1 1/2 inch cubes

TOMATO RAITA
1/2 cup reduced -fat mayonaise
1/2 cup non fat plain yogurt
1 medium size ripe tomato cored peeled and diced
3 Tablespoons chopped fresh mint
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon fresh garlic

12 skewers

Make the mainade either in a plastic container or zip loc bag
Combine with moose meat and refrigerate for 4 hours no more thatn 8 hours turning occasionally.

now make the raita put all the ingredients in a small boll and grefrigerate for 1 hour

prepare the grill and thread the moose meat on the skewers
let stand for 4 to 5 mins on grill
remove from grill and fill pita with romaine lettuce moose meat and raita and serve .

Guys, this recipe is actually extremely good. The Raita "sauce" is very good with wild game. If you are going to try it, experiment with the size of the meat. You might want to cut it into smaller chunks so you can just chew away at it like a sandwich. Bigger chunks you need to cut up. I actually prefer more, smaller pieces inside the Pita.

If you guys didn't know, this is sort of like a sandwich or a wrap. You can buy the pita bread at the store, cut it in half and the inside is hollow. Fill the inside with everything and enjoy!
