Default Pan fried fish.

Tonight I cooked up some crappie that I had frozen. I pan fried it in oil at 350 and then turned it up to 450 to get it nice and brown. before frying it I washed it dried it off and diped it into a mix of flour salt and pepper.
I also took two cans of sliced potatos and a half on onion sliced into rings and pan fried those in some butter.
Made up a salad and had a nice home cooked meal waiting for my wife when she got home.
Just wanted to point out that simple can be good too.

One eye...pan fried crappie or bluegill is hard to beat! I think I'll get a tub of crappies out for tomorrow! Thanks for the reminder...

One-eye,
Next time you fry up some fish, fry some dill pickle slices too. It might sound strange, but they go darn well with fried fish(and beer too).
Don't forget to pat them dry and/or let them sit in a collander to drain & dry for a while. Too much liquid will make for messy & dangerous frying.
