Default fresh salsa recipes

Anyone have a good fresh salsa recipe? I've tried a few in the last month, and they are OK, but nothing to write home about, or make again.

Here is a recipe for fresh salsa..... You will need:
6 medium sized ripe tomatoes toasted on a griddle and peeled
6 jalapeno peppers toasted on a griddle and peeled
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
salt to taste

Toast the tomatoes and jalapenos on a griddle or grill over medium heat. Turn tomatoes and peppers often until skin is black. Place the jalapenos in a damp cloth until they have cooled down a little. Place the tomatoes on a plate. When cool enough to touch, peel them. Peel the jalapenos. Blend the jalapenos, garlic and one tomato in a blender. Pour in a medium sized bowl. Cut the remaining tomatoes into very small pieces. Add them to the pepper mix along with all the remaining ingredients. Add salt to taste (I use at least a teaspoon). Stir ingredients and chill for at least an hour so that the flavors can marry.
