Help find a fish fry recipe with Aunt Jemima Pancake Mix
Does anyone know of a fish fry recipe that you use Aunt Jemima pancake mix with? I have heard of it a long time ago. Never tried it. I was told it was very good. Thank you

I remember reading about it some where. I think you just make the pancake mix like it says on the box and use it that way. Hey it's cooking not rocket science. There is no set receipes. Only in Baking do you have to follow them to a tee.

i wasn't sure if it was dry or wet batter to put on it, and i think there was brown sugar involved? but, you're right, i'll just start experimenting tyty

Sun, try a 50/50 mix of pancake mix and beer for deep frying or maybe try :
1 dip wet filets in pancake mix, then an egg wash then bread crumbs.
2 either fry in a cast iron fry pan using lard, not oil
3 after dipping filets in the wash and crumbs, put on cookie sheet and bake at 400, flipping once
add your own favourite spices to the pancake mix

I have used pancake mix with some 7-UP, Ginger-Ale or Sprite. Just mix up fairly thick than coat fillets and deep fry in hot oil. The fillets will sink initially than float to the top. Serve with tartar sauce or lemon wedges....TASTEY.
