Default Help find a fish fry recipe with Aunt Jemima Pancake Mix

Does anyone know of a fish fry recipe that you use Aunt Jemima pancake mix with? I have heard of it a long time ago. Never tried it. I was told it was very good. Thank you

I remember reading about it some where. I think you just make the pancake mix like it says on the box and use it that way. Hey it's cooking not rocket science. There is no set receipes. Only in Baking do you have to follow them to a tee.

Sun, try a 50/50 mix of pancake mix and beer for deep frying or maybe try :

1 dip wet filets in pancake mix, then an egg wash then bread crumbs.
2 either fry in a cast iron fry pan using lard, not oil
3 after dipping filets in the wash and crumbs, put on cookie sheet and bake at 400, flipping once

add your own favourite spices to the pancake mix

I have used pancake mix with some 7-UP, Ginger-Ale or Sprite. Just mix up fairly thick than coat fillets and deep fry in hot oil. The fillets will sink initially than float to the top. Serve with tartar sauce or lemon wedges....TASTEY.

Can never figure out why people want to cover up the delicate taste of fish by adding condiments, unless they don't like the taste of fish.

I never said you HAD to use them...just giving a suggestion that some people like to have some MORE flavour than just fish.

Particularly with Walleye which I find if you don't add some spices or salt and pepper it is a VERY bland, tasteless fish.
