I bought the one from Bass Pro. It runs about $125. It works well, but isn't as fast as I'd like.

Your problem is solved. Northern Tool And Equipment CO. PO box 1219, Burnsville, MN. 55337. Item # 168620. TS-108 Super Grinder. You don't have to cut that sinew stuff off of deer either. It will grind it. The cost was $103.00. It will beat the Kitchen-Aid hands down. Good Luck. Capt Brad.

my friend processes deer and he gets his fat from local grocery stores. grind it in with your deer. to me it's better than hamburger. also if you havent thought about it ,tenderizers are great. ive seen northern tool had grinders but small tenderizers i havent seen. if you find one let me know. i use my friends free now but you never know about the future. he is a butcher and taught me what to do and i never ate good deer until he did.

Brian,

Do you want a small grinder around the $100 range for occasional use or are you going to be grinding large quanities of meat quite often?

Brian- We had a $100 grinder from Wal-Mart that lasted only 3 seasons. It burnt up after only 5 deer. I can't remember the name of it, but we decided to really go all out and buy a good quality grinder. We got it from Cabela's. It is 3/4 HP, and cost $399 + S$H, but was well worth it considering the trouble that we would have gone through replacing cheap ones all of the time. There is a smaller 1/3 HP grinder from Cabela's for $269. I am quickly becoming a firm believer in spending a lot on good quality eqipment now, and not have to worry about it later. If you will be doing a lot of grinding, I would recomend getting a high quality grinder!
