Sandwiches
OK.
I am putting this up because it is a good/great sandwich ...(it reminds me of a sandwich that I use to get as a child called a 'Gold Dust' up at the Hungry Prospector in Arnold Calif...It isn't quite as good but with a little work I think that I can get it right. This recipe has too much turkey for me.) ...but also to see what you guys have so that I can add your recipes to my book.
Sandwiches are the best...If you got one give it up.
Baked Italian Heros
6 @ 6 - 8” Hero (Hoagie) Rolls, split
1/2 C. Italian Dressing
1/2 Lbs. Sliced Deli Salami
1/2 Lbs. Sliced Deli Turkey
1/2 Lbs. Sliced Deli Ham
1/2 Lbs. Sliced Deli Provolone Cheese
1 Lg. Tomato, thinly sliced
1/2 med. (Red) Onion, thinly sliced
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Bush the cut sides of the rolls with the Italian Dressing.
Layer bottom halves with Salami, Turkey, Ham, Provolone, Tomato and
Onion.
Replace the tops.
Wrap each sandwich with foil (tightly) and bake for 12 - 15 minutes
(til the cheese is melted).
Remove from the foil and serve.

RE: Sandwiches
I don't know if they freeze well or not...I suppose that you could if you left off the dressing and then when you wanted one you could just put the dressing on then.
I really don't know.
Sounds very good... I make something along those lines but instead of the Italian dressing, I add lettuce, tomato and Ranch Dressing after it comes out of the oven. It takes just a bit for those components to be heated by the rest of the sandwich, yet the veggies still taste fresh.
I will try the Italian dressing method next time...
