I built a grill in mine 3 years ago when I got my new wire welder. We've use it a lot. We lose power sometimes in the winter and count on it. I also built an arm that folds and attached it to the brick on the side. You can extend it out to stir or add ingredients or just check. Your dutch may have to be modified to make it balanced. Mine would hang lower on one side. Also I found a pancake gridle at an antique shop. Works well and makes the best pancakes but had to be balanced also. Good Luck. Capt Brad.

i'll promise you'll cook the best steak you have ever eaten! they can have charcoal! redoak and hickory is the only way to cook! i built mine out of 1/2 inch expanded metal with the frame angle iron. i put legs of 1" square going through 1/2 square . weld a 3/8 nut to the 1 1/2 (drill a hole) use a bolt and i can adjust my height. i like my steaks flame kissed, cooked fast and slightly rare. man it's good. i like to rub butter on my steak and then use cavenders. thats it. robb92 your wife tastes a steak on hardwood and she wont let you use charcoal again. i do chicken, chops and any i do on a charcoal grill. i also built one for outside and have a pit do cooking in the summer. i hate the taste of food on charcoal now. people in the campground think i'm crazy when i break out this big table looking grill . i have my wood in my truck. no matter how hot it is my wifes going to have her food from the fire grill.
