Default how do I keep the wife and kids out of the Jerky?

I made some jerky yesterday and went to get some this morning and asked " Where is all the Jerky?" My wife said " What' s left of it is in the small ziploc on the counter." I thought she was kidding......LOL
Her and the kids stayed up watching TV and had a Jerky-fest....LOL

I guess I am going to have to start making bigger batches.

PC, I have the same problem as you. Last year I made about 10 lbs of goose jerky. My 12 year old and his buddy got into it and ate 5 lbs worth. They left one stick in the bag thinking that they did not " eat it all" . I also had some real good horse jerky(yes, horse) and that all went too before I could hide it. So now, I put it all in a bag inside a bag, label it with something they don`t like, then put the whole thing in a bread bag at the bottom of the freezer. Seems to work for me.
Good luck in solving your little " problem" .

Ron

Add some " Da Bomb' s ' Final Answer' " to a few strips. Place these strips of jerky on top of the rest inthe bag. your jerky problems will be permanently solved...

Jalapeno peppers have an S.U. rating of 6,000-8,000.
" Final Answer" has an S.U. rating of 1.5 million!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pork chop you should make a special batch just for them and hide the good stuff!

When i mean special i mean hair curling I think someone just ---- in my mouth bad. that way they'll learn to only eat your jerky when your eating it.
